Choosing Your Next DSLR Lens

As a Nikon D3000 owner, I have recently considered a lens upgrade from the 18-55mm lens that came with the camera from Amazon. The camera takes amazing shots with the 18-55mm lens (Check out my Flickr stream), so I can only imagine what a 55-200mm or 50-300mm lens can do. When comparing prices on Amazon and reading customer reviews, I was sure of the 55-200mm lens. The price was right and it was already a huge upgrade from the current lens I shoot with. However, I’m going to continue watching the prices for the next week to see if any budge, but I’m pretty positive on the 55-300mm lens. The extra 100mm for roughly $100 is quite a steal. On a DSLR camera, the extra 100mm is definitely noticeable. Check out the two lenses for yourself:

If you’ve tried either or both, please post your review in the comments below and share your Flickr stream.
