Go Public with Social Media

It’s a little intimidating to think that a public Twitter account means anyone can read everything you post.

But it’s time to grasp the concept. Social media isn’t an elite club. Anyone can join, anyone can post. (Although some should refrain… *cough* Kanye West) Social media isn’t secretive or doesn’t keep information contained. It’s about informing, sharing and learning.

You don’t (or shouldn’t) post anything you wouldn’t want your mom to read, so why keep it private? If you understand the purpose of social media and use it correctly, SHARE IT! (Here’s an example that benefits others.) You’ll soon reap the SEO benefits, build upon your personal brand and make an impression during your job search.
